We are pleased to announce that New York based interior design firm JIDK has merged with OTJ Architects. JIDK founder Thomas Juncher Jensen joins our practice as Director of Design for our Manhattan studio and brings with him the team of talented designers who contributed to the successful delivery of projects such as Intent Media, BuzzFeed LA, and The Commons co-working space.
In his new capacity, Thomas will lead the design of uncompromising contemporary workplaces for OTJ’s growing roster of New York clients. Noted for bringing to fruition concepts often considered impossible to implement, Thomas has, in the course of his decades-long career, cultivated equally successful partnerships with clients ranging from entrepreneurs to real estate professionals and creatives alike. Lance Jaccard, OTJ Managing Partner, notes, “The addition of Thomas and his staff elevates our ability to deliver projects of both high aesthetic and functional value for organizations that share our commitment to design excellence.”
Since its launch in 2017, our New York studio has completed projects for such clients as Cultural Vistas, FHI 360, and Marx Realty to name a few. In addition, our teams are currently at work on the design of projects nationwide including the headquarters of MDLive in Miami, FL, the reimagining of Washington, D.C.’s Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Library, a 65,000 RSF next generation workplace for Booz Allen Hamilton in Bethesda, MD, and the repositioning of the historic Alameda Theater complex in San Antonio, TX.
