Architecture Firm of the Year by the GWCAR:

OTJ Architects has recently been voted Architecture Firm of the Year
by the Greater Washington Commercial Association of Realtors (GWCAR).

OTJ WINS TWO 2008 IIDA BRONZE AWARDS:

OTJ Architects won two IIDA Bronze Awards at the IIDA Mid-Atlantic Chapter Awards ceremony on April 23, 2008. Greenberg Quinlan Rosner won for commercial design project between 20,000-100,000SF, while The Thomas B. Fordham Foundation won for commercial design project under 20,000 SF.

Interior Design Giant:

OTJ (#126) has substantially moved up on the Interior Design “Giant 200” list since 2004. This placed us among the top 10 “Fastest-Growing Second 100 Giants." Full listing available at >> www.interiordesign.net

OTJ WINS ABC AWARD FOR NCTA:

NCTA has been selected as a winning project in the Electrical category of the Associated Builders & Contractors (ABC) "2007 Excellence in Construction Awards Competition".

OTJ WINS IIDA AWARD FOR BANNER & WITCOFF:

OTJ Architects won the IIDA Bronze Award for the interior architectural design of the DC office of intellectual property law firm Banner & Witcoff, Ltd. at the IIDA awards ceremony April 26, 2007. The award category included commercial design projects between 20,000 and 100,000SF. Banner & Witcoff recently relocated its DC office to the 31,651 SF space in a new class A building at 1100 13th St. NW Washington, DC.

AIA Award:

OTJ recently won the prestigious AIA Northern Virginia chapter award in the “Awards for Excellence” category for The Raben Law Firm. Our project boards will be on display and available for viewing for one year at the AIA Northern Virginia Chapter office.

OTJ on GSA Schedule:

In an effort to do more work with government agencies, OTJ completed all the requirements needed to be awarded the GSA schedule for 712 (Comprehensive Furniture Management Services - CFMS). This will guarantee a continuous working relationship with multiple government agencies, as well as create new opportunities to work with new government agencies.

OTJ Wins Top NAIOP Award:

OTJ's project, Northrop Grumman Ship Systems, recently won a top award in the catagory of Best Interior Design-Commerical Space at the annual NAIOP awards. The project, located at 300 M Street, SE in Washington, DC, was recognized for it's unique design, mirroring the image of a quarterdeck of a ship. OTJ consulted with the president of NGSS, a retired Navy Rear Admiral, to research the history of marine architectual elements that would tie in to overall design.

NAIOP (National Association of Industrial and Office Properties) has long been recognized for providing a forum for commercial real estate, with active membership and participation both nationally and within the Washington DC area.

OTJ Listed as Top 25 Business Community Contributor:

Washington Business Journal's Philanthropy Guide listed OTJ as a top 25 business community contributor. The list includes companies that made outstanding contributions over the last year. We are involved in several philanthropy causes including Jubilee Housing, Leukemia Society and Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. We understand the significants and importance of giving back to our communities.

American Nurses Association National Award:

OTJ won the nationally recognized StarNet Award for American Nurses Association for best design intent. Judges based their decision on creative use and design concepts and how well the design meets the client's objectives and special challenges. StarNet is the commercial floor covering industries largest association of dealers.
OTJ will receive the award at the Annual StarNet Commercial Flooring Cooperative Design Awards conference in Palm Springs. The award is held for recognition of the world's finest architects and design firms. The conference also holds a press conference with national media coverage.
