Holly Martin, OTJ Director of Design | Studio 4, is a licensed interior designer who also holds a Masters of Real Estate from Georgetown University. Holly is a tireless advocate for the long-term success of her clients’ projects. Her work brings together comprehensive workplace strategies to propel business forward and a passion for elegant, intricate detailing that translates to urbane, enduring designs. Holly serves as President Elect of the Mid-Atlantic Chapter of International Interior Design Association (IIDA). She is an active and recognized member of the DC real estate community.
What made you decide you wanted to be an architect/designer?
The idea of having an impact on how people experience spaces and places.
What do you enjoy most about being an architect/designer?
The opportunity to create something unique on each project.
What is your favorite DC building?
I much prefer being outdoors, so it’s not surprising that for me it’s the Sculpture Garden. Great people watching, with toes in the water with a glass of sangria in hand.
What inspires you?
Fresh ideas and thinking outside the box.
What was your first job?
Walmart cashier – favorite job of all time.
What are your hobbies?
I literally have none. I work, I parent, and I am heavily involved in IIDA. Also, refer to the next question.
What is your favorite cocktail?
Goose martini, up with olives. Sometimes dirty.
What is your current favorite song / artist?
Marian Hill – look her up, so good.
What is your favorite movie?
Currently Zootopia. Yep, I’m a mama of two rambunctious boys.
What is your favorite place to travel?
