The Watergate
South Lobby Renvoation

The Watergate is internationally known and historically significant. We renovated the lobby to reflect a prestigious style that matched the building's history and tradition. Draperies were added to create a maximal effect, with a minimal disturbance to the existing building. They accentuate the ceiling heights and add privacy from the garage. This reflects OTJ's sensitivity to the Watergate's historical structure and our ability to create a dynamic space with a minimal amount of construction and cost. The ceiling is highlighted by extensive crown molding accents. Recessed lighting provides a border around the ceiling details and allows better lighting, especially for the reception area. Four chandeliers give a grand ballroom style which matches the theme of the mosaic tiling in the floor.Leather seating was added at the center of the space, custom built around the center column. This provides a social, gathering point for it's residence to interact. Custom furniture with a dark, rich texture was also included to match the traditional theme known as the Watergate's style.
