The Sporting Goods Manufacturers Association, located in the heart of downtown Washington, DC, is a trade organization representing the manufacturers of sporting goods equipment. When first entering the space through the reception area, a visitor can take note of the glass cases highlighting the manufactured products that SGMA represents. Hardwood floors were installed to simulate gymnasium flooring found throughout North America. Seven full size, floor-to-ceiling photos of popular sports moments were installed in this space as well. Some of the more notable design elements in this office are the hallway walls creatively decorated with hockey pucks, golf tees, roller blades and tennis balls. These abstract installation walls were painted with bright colors to create a more festive environment, and reinforce SGMA's sports theme. The team conference room was designed with floor-to-ceiling glass walls which allow for an open team atmosphere. Rubber matting was used as flooring to resemble a fitness center.
