As a unified voice of the industry, it was important to Auto Alliance that their office design incorporate the industry’s history and convey contemporary aesthetics. Upon building selection, the leadership and designers concluded an interconnecting staircase would improve communication between staff.
In order to ensure that the Auto Alliance design incorporated all necessary functional areas and employee work spaces, our workplace strategy initiative focused on how the space meets business goals, how people work in the space, how the space reinforces the brand and how people act in the space. These workplace strategy initiatives helped OTJ create a more efficient and functional space based on their requirements. OTJ’s design includes industry elements such as rims as décor in the conference room, an automobile graphic display near the interconnecting staircase in the reception area and themed signage for each meeting room. Since Auto Alliance hosts events, a separate level of the space is dedicated to meeting areas, a lounge, pantry and a roof with a putting green.
