“Focus on Excellence” was the theme of the Best of NAIOP Northern Virginia Awards held in late November, 2011. OTJ Architects’ design for Surescripts was bestowed the “Award of Merit for Best Interiors, Tenant Space: 15,000 SF to 49,999 SF.”
Surescripts is a healthcare technology provider that operates the country’s largest electronic prescription network. They wanted the space, which occupies an entire floor at 2800 Crystal Drive, Arlington Virginia, to reflect their corporate objectives. The principle idea to be conveyed by the design was that information flowing through the company’s network is helping to change healthcare, empowering a more secure and accurate prescription process. The open office floor plan and glass facades for all perimeter offices creates an inviting, functional workplace attuned to the ideas of connectivity, positive flow, and efficiency.
“We worked with Surescripts to brand their space with the use of corporate colors and integrated those colors in architectural elements that can be seen throughout their office.” - Valerie Mucci, OTJ Architects
