Entertainment Software Association (ESA) is a trade association dedicated to serving interactive entertainment software publishing companies. The main goal for this project was to provide a technologically advanced showcase space that represents ESA’s brand and membership.
Press the power button and enter into the world of ESA. The entry portal features integrated audio-visual technology that projects live gaming and transports the visitor to a new realm. The entry is designed to be a flexible public zone with the capability to entertain. It provides a destination for employees to experience gaming through HTC Vive virtual reality goggles as well as exercise using a Wii Fit.
Activity areas are established through flooring, ceiling materials and function. The entertainment area features a large format seamless video wall for gaming, displaying presentations and hosting large scale events. As formal meeting space was integral, a 10-person meeting room featuring mobile partitions and a 20-person board room flank the public zone. A video game museum exhibits a rotating display of classic games and historic moments within gaming and pop culture.
Branding is incorporated through physical gaming technology, rotating 3-D statues and vinyl graphics of characters from various gaming platforms throughout the office. Due to the shape of the building, access to natural light proved to be a design challenge. Perimeter glass walled offices allow daylight deep into the core of the floor plate. A centralized employee lounge, complete with a detailed Pac-Man mosaic backsplash, provides another collaborative space for staff to retreat and relax.Back to Blog
